The One With The Josh Groban Concert!

I remember the first time I stumbled on Josh Groban’s music was on The Oprah Winfrey Show. I heard him sing “You Raise Me Up” and I was hooked instantly! From there I started downloading his music, buying his albums… Fell in love with my favorites “Awake” and “Oceano”

One day I was in the car with Mom, I made her listen to “You Raise Me Up” and told her “I’m getting him for my wedding!” (I wasn’t kidding! ;p) She laughed sarcastically! ;p She likes Sinatra, I thought she might be keen on Josh Groban ;p

His music eased me through a rough phase in college.. From then I had him on my list! I wanna see him perform!

Before moving out of K-Town in a month or so… Vainglorious told me to book the tickets for his concert in London.

Me: Do we dare?! ;p
Vainglorious: Like hell we do!
Me: OK! ;p

I remember booking those tickets in the living room, and Dad sitting across the side of me, and I was going (Wallah uba lw tadri, what I’m up to right now! Lol ;p)

I haven’t told anyone! It was just between Vainglorious and I! ;p

October was here, the concert was on the 11^th it was on a Tuesday, the shittiest day on our schedule! It’s unbelievably hectic on Tuesday… simply “We Hate Tuesdays!”

We attended all our classes, finished at 6:00PM.. Got on the bus, and walked to the train station.. lost our way, which made us run! We got there and the train was about to leave in 2 minutes.. We got held back because of a lady who kept wondering why are the train tickets expensive! Way3ah, move out of the window bitch! And there we missed the “Fast train” to London! We hopped on the next one..

The concert starts at 8:00PM, and we reached London 7:55PM lol..Got into a taxi..

Me: How fast can you get us to Apollo Theatre?
Him: depends on the traffic, 25-30 mins..
Me: looks at Vain Nroo7?
Vainglorious: Yes.
Me: Let’s go

The cab driver, was so awesome! He’s like the sweetest cab driver in London.. he got us there in 15-20 mins!

We ran inside! *GASP* Josh Groban! Performing OCEANO!!! ABCHII?! LOOL We were looking for our seats… settled after I almost climbed on someone just to sit! ;p

Vainglorious gave her “WTH” look when she heard him go “Piove sulla oceano” its Italian for “It rains in the ocean” YES! I know the lyrics Lol ;p

I sat there mesmerized by him! I couldn’t believe it.. I day dreamed about this moment (maybe the moment of hugging him, but still.. ;p) and I’m there.. Watching him perform live… And then it hit me! OH MY GOD WE’RE BREATHING THE SAME AIR! LOL ;P

He was AMAZING! We missed about 20 mins of the concert, and I was hoping in those 20 minutes he didn’t perform “AWAKE” and “Don’t Give Up” …

Vainglorious isn’t a fan of his music, but she ended up liking him, cause he’s a comedian! He’s hilarious! After every song, he’d put a stand up comedy for you! No one does that! Nonetheless, no classical performer does that! ;p He's the kind of person I wanna be friends with

The concert was wrapped up, and we had to hurry back to the station to catch the train back… Josh came out to perform one more time on the piano “Hidden Away” akhaaih! We left the hall, and I was turning my back to get a last “LIVE” look lol ;p

I woke up the next day, and I said to Vainglorious “Ask me where I was last night!”

Vainglorious: Where were you last night ? ;p
Me: I WAS AT JOSH GROBAN’S CONCERT!!! AND WE SHARED THE SAME AIR! LOL

I kept saying, “Do you know where I was 2 days ago? Do you know where I was last Tuesday?!” ;P it went on for a couple of weeks, and still it did not sink in ;p SIGH It was surreal…. Good thing he didn't perform "To Where You Are" cause I swear, I would've cried! ;p

With all the craziness, and how extremely busy we are here... I can't believe we actually attended the concert! I can happily cross it out of my list :)

P.S I dedicate this song to Noon and Swera. I really wished I could've shared this concert with them, knowing how crazy they are about Josh Groban! ;p You girls were on my mind at that moment ;*

and one more thing..... Vainglorious! I'll never forget that moment when you said:

"Like Hell We DO!" and we did! ;p Thank you ;*
